From the 12 million plants produced each year, a percentage is planted by The Navigator Company in its own forests. The rest of the plants are sold to traders and will be planted elsewhere by some of the more than 400,000 landowners in Portugal.

Those trees are later repurchased by The Navigator Company for pulp and paper production purposes.

This way, we’re able to control the quality of the wood used in the paper-making process, as it originated in our forest nurseries.
